2012 Wedding Trends around the Web

At the beginning of “engagement season” wedding sites and blogs like to start things off with their predictions of the wedding trends for the year. Of course, we keep track of the entertainment trends for you, but for other wedding trends, let’s take a look around the web for this week’s wrap up.
Since Fall 2011, The Knot has been predicting a return to luxury and royal wedding influenced wedding parties dressed in white. Our favorite Knot predicted trends are The After Party and Wedding Entertainment Surprises. Obviously, we like both of these trends because they give you a chance to think big when it comes to wedding entertainment.

Many blogs are also predicting that wedding dresses will follow the royal wedding lead with long lace sleeves and separate wedding and reception dresses. Personally, I have my doubts that the “two dress” trend will ever reach large numbers. For one thing, many brides struggle to afford one gorgeous dress, let alone two. For another, for many brides, once you put on “that dress” you never want to take it off! Kate Middleton gets to dress like a princess every day, the rest of us don’t have as many chances!

Brides and bridal blogs often look to color giant Pantone for wedding trends. Pantone’s color of the year for 2012 is Tangerine Tango. Should we look for it in bridesmaids’ dresses and table linens in 2012? You’ll definitely see it in inspiration boards.
Finally, the 2012 wedding trend we really hope doesn’t come true? Bridalplasty! According to this ABCNews report, brides are now considering plastic surgery as part of their wedding budget! Come on ladies, if you don’t want a cookie cutter wedding, why would you want to be a cookie cutter bride?
What trends do you predict for 2012 weddings?
