2012 Wedding Trends around the Web

At the beginning of “engagement season” wedding sites and blogs like to start things off with their predictions of the wedding trends for the year. Of course, we keep track of the entertainment trends for you, but for other wedding trends, let’s take a look around the web for this week’s wrap up.
Since Fall 2011, The Knot has been predicting a return to luxury and royal wedding influenced wedding parties dressed in white. Our favorite Knot predicted trends are The After Party and Wedding Entertainment Surprises. Obviously, we like both of these trends because they give you a chance to think big when it comes to wedding entertainment.

Many blogs are also predicting that wedding dresses will follow the royal wedding lead with long lace sleeves and separate wedding and reception dresses. Personally, I have my doubts that the “two dress” trend will ever reach large numbers. For one thing, many brides struggle to afford one gorgeous dress, let alone two. For another, for many brides, once you put on “that dress” you never want to take it off! Kate Middleton gets to dress like a princess every day, the rest of us don’t have as many chances!

Brides and bridal blogs often look to color giant Pantone for wedding trends. Pantone’s color of the year for 2012 is Tangerine Tango. Should we look for it in bridesmaids’ dresses and table linens in 2012? You’ll definitely see it in inspiration boards.
Finally, the 2012 wedding trend we really hope doesn’t come true? Bridalplasty! According to this ABCNews report, brides are now considering plastic surgery as part of their wedding budget! Come on ladies, if you don’t want a cookie cutter wedding, why would you want to be a cookie cutter bride?
What trends do you predict for 2012 weddings?

Western Wedding Dresses

Western wedding dresses serves several purposes. It may be cheaper than a traditional wedding dress. It is also a way to show their hometown proud. Western dresses itself adds a sense of fun and provides an informal tone for the wedding. Here’s how to get a wedding dress, western fashion forward.
Choose sleeves or a jacket. This is one of the advantages of western wedding dresses, which are really small. You may have some religious restrictions that require the use of sleeves or collar. This can be particularly difficult to find in a traditional wedding in the ballroom. Almost all wedding dresses sleeveless with spaghetti straps are a little thrown in. If your dress has sleeves to try, find a lace cover-up. You can always take them to church or the ceremony, then a gap at the reception.
Go all. Western wedding dresses can be seen. There is nothing subtle. These clothes use a lot of substance. They are usually good in both lace and pearls. Make sure your dress is not so difficult that it is uncomfortable to wear for long periods. You can often find these clothes for sale on eBay, if you need to save money.
Make elegant. Western wedding dresses should not be something you saw in “The Marriage of my Big Redneck.” You can fashion and still the Wild West’s atmosphere. Search for a corset-style tops you have are the ideal solution. It is enough that the dress is not the same style, each has his own city are used to change. On the Trail Fly are back in the bridal fashion. These look like skirts, and then you help in your chart. It adds a special element to have your wedding guests had not seen.
Ditch the bridal shop. You may not be able to find western wedding dresses shop in the western traditional marriage. That could be expensive, instead, the main street of small town America. Even if you do not have a bridal shop, clothing stores and has one or two wedding dresses that can do the trick. It also has the added benefit of supporting local businesses.
Think about your audience. You want to feel comfortable and happy on your special day well. If you know of a dress, the feeling that you could walk down the aisle. Note that you will be there and on this occasion. This will determine how far you go with her western wedding dresses. You are free to decide whether you attached a cowboy hat with a veil, or whether it is reasonable to want to wear boots.
Wear a costume. This is an excellent alternative to a traditional dress of the field. Some people in his city could pioneer and civil persecution. You can borrow one of these in order for your wedding for free use. It is real western wedding dresses. These costumes are usually soft colors, but maybe just lucky and find the color of your wedding or white. You can even wear the dress of your grandmother; we all agree that it is ivory.
Show off your silhouette. This is where the western wedding dresses have an advantage over a traditional ball gown. You can go and have fun with your guests. These dresses often show straight skirts, that their form instead of you drowns in fabric.

Beach Wedding Dresses – Consider This

Beach weddings are just perfect for some couples, there’s no arguing about who to invite, no getting delayed at the airport for your honeymoon because you’re already there and no one else to worry about apart from yourselves.
Beach weddings have so many plus points it’s easy to see why more and more couple go down this route instead of having a traditional wedding. Since your wedding is no longer traditional, your wedding dress shouldn’t be either.
Many brides struggle with finding the perfect beach dress or find the perfect wedding gown for them only to realise while it was perfect for them it wasn’t perfect for the beach.
To make sure you don’t make that mistake follow these simple rules.
Make sure your beach wedding gown is the right length
A traditional bridal dress generally hits the floor and has a train this isn’t going to work on a sandy beach. If you still want a long dress make sure it stops around your ankles. This will help keep you cool as well as not getting in the way when you walk along the beach and getting stained by the sand. Depending on your style and your personal preference it’s perfectly acceptable to wear a shorter dress on the beach, if you want to show of you legs opt for something above the knee if you feel like your legs aren’t worthy of being shown off then try a calf or ankle length dress.
If you know that the beach that you’re getting married at is known to be windy you need to consider the effect this will have on your bridal gown and your hair. An ankle length dress could prove difficult to walk in if the wind keeps wrapping itself around your legs. If you’ve got any layers or ruffles then the wind will constantly catch these and you don’t want to spend your wedding ceremony pushing ruffles back down so you can see what’s going on. In fact its better not to buy dresses with ruffles or layers and sand likes to find a way into these nooks and crannies and you’ll never get it out before you head back to your hotel.
Make sure your wedding dress is created with thin, light breathable material
If you’re getting married on a beach, I’m going to assume you’re getting married somewhere sunny and hot, the last thing you want to do is overheat and sweat all your make up off on your wedding day. Choose fabric like cotton, chiffon or silk to keep you cool, these fabrics are also light and thin so wedding dresses created from these fabrics are easily transportable.
Make sure you can transport your wedding dress
If you’ve tried on traditional wedding gowns in the bridal shops then you’ll know that there’s no way that a dress like that is going to fit into your suitcase. Plus do you remember how heavy they are? Just think of the excess baggage you’ll end up paying. Your beach ceremony dress should be made from light thin material so it’s easy to transport.

Beautiful Wedding Dresses

There are several things to note before you buy and choose a beautiful wedding dress:
Define the concept of your reception. Before you rush to the selection of wedding dress will you wear, you should first define the concept of reception to be held, such as whether a reception in door or out door. If you have defined the concept it will be easy for you to communicate with the designers who will design your wedding dress. Choose and customize a character. It is no less important is to adjust the dress would you choose with your personal character. If you are a devout religious then choose a dress with a supporting character. Confidence will arise if we wear a dress that has a character that fits with our personal.

The last thing in selecting and determining a beautiful wedding dress is no need to force mode. Many people are attracted to wear a certain dress just because they see a model that looks beautiful and graceful when using a particular wedding gown. Never be fooled by the appearance of the model, the most important is how you identify yourself and where appropriate design for your posture. Well. Good luck!

An All-White Bridal Party: Wedding Dresses For Your Bridesmaids?

An All-White Bridal Party: Wedding Dresses For Your Bridesmaids?
When people talk about a white wedding, they’re usually referring to the bride. But these days they could be just as easily discussing the bridal party. Today’s bride is eschewing the tradition that only the bride wears white wedding dresses on her wedding day, and she’s letting her ’maids put on the light hue as well.
What was once considered gauche became a bridal trend when the world saw Kate Middleton’s maid of honor, her sister Phillipa “Pippa” Middleton, and her “bridesmaids” in white for her wedding to Prince William in April.
Pippa Middleton and the bridesmaids all looked regal in white for the royal wedding.

Another British Kate, supermodel Kate Moss, had an all-white bridal party as well when she wed musician Jamie Hince last July. Don’t her girls look like they just walked out of a romantic fairytale?
Kate Moss’s wedding was part fairytale, part rock ‘n’ roll.

Some might argue that an all-white wedding party has always been something of a tradition for the Brits since many British brides have had their bridesmaids dress all in white. Princess Diana had an all-white bridal party back in the 80s after all.

image
And while those people may be right, all-white bridal parties are new(er) on this side of the pond and a couple of recent high profile American weddings have helped solidify the trend.
A month after the royal wedding, former beauty queen Candice Crawford (sister of Gossip Girl‘s Chace Crawford) wed Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo. All 15 (!!) of Candice’s bridesmaids donned white Badgley Mischka dresses.

Kim Kardashian picked up on the trend a few months later when she wed basketball player Kris Humphries in August. She had her bridesmaids wear white Vera Wang wedding dresses.

Except for the fact that there were five women all wearing the same dress, any one of them could have been the bride of a less extravagant wedding. In fact, Kim’s bridesmaids’ dresses look like a toned-down version of her sister Khloe’s wedding dress. At least Khloe knew that she would look good wearing her bridesmaid’s dress.

image
So it would appear that this has indeed become a trend. And while you might argue about whether it’s borrowed from the Brits or completely new, what was once the biggest fashion faux pas (wearing white to someone else’s wedding) is now one of today’s hottest bridal trends…at least if you’re a bridesmaid.
It’s not for everyone, but if you like the idea of an all-white bridal party, there are many ways to pull it off and stay true to your wedding style. The one thing you might want to avoid, is bridesmaid dresses that look too much like your dress. While your closest friends and family should know which woman in white is the bride, you don’t really want to leave anyone guessing.

image
Well, maybe there are two things. Don’t err on the other end of the spectrum either. You don’t want your girls wearing dresses that are so different in style that your guests won’t be able to tell the bride from her ’maids…especially if you have a large bridal party.
No really, which one is the bride? (Photo by A Bryan Photo)

image
Make sure that your dress stands out from the others whether in style (strapless while your bridesmaids’ dresses have straps) or shade (you’re in off-white while your ’maids are in cream). When it’s done right, the effect can be extremely elegant.

Your bridesmaids can all wear the same dress…

Or they can wear mismatched dresses, which is great for them because they can buy a cute dress that they’d like to wear again. Just be sure that your dress will stand out in the crowd. An easy way to do this without being too restrictive is to have the bridesmaids’ dresses be short if you’re wearing long, or vice versa.

definitely stand out. (Photo by Lauren and Abby Ross Weddings)

Like the idea of an all-white wedding, but not to keen on all white? Add a pop of color to your bridesmaids’ dresses.

image
Still too much white? Stay true to the trend by dressing your bridesmaids in dresses that are primarily white, but incorporate another color as well. For example, dresses with a white skirt and colored top.
These black and white dresses are a nice mix of the old and new.

Or, if you’d prefer, pick bridesmaids dresses in a pale color that’s close to white, but not actually white.

If you want to have an all-white bridal party, but really want to stand out from your bridesmaids, consider wearing the color yourself.

And if you want to stick to tradition and be the only one wearing white, consider all black for your bridal party. It’s also elegant and looks great in photos.
Whether you love an all-white bridal party or hate it, this is one trend that will probably be around for awhile.
